Men's Complication: Virtuoso V Jumping Hour Titanium with Salmon Dials
For the very first time, the patented and iconic Amadeo system is available in a Grade 5 titanium case in the BOVET 1822 Virtuoso V. This manufacture movement features a jumping hour and retrograde minute complication on the first side and hours and minutes on the second side. Ingeniously, the jumping hour can be adjusted via a corrector to a second time zone, making this a dual-time/GMT timepiece.
The Amadeo system makes this four timepieces in one -- you can transform it to wear on either side, use it as a pocket watch (complete with chain) or a desk clock, all without any tools. The foot of the Amadeo system is in stainless steel, as it's impossible to weld titanium to itself.
The Jumping Hour with Retrograde Minute is a mesmerizing complication, one which collectors will watch at the end of every hour to see the digital hour display jump at the exact same time as the retrograde hand snaps back. Managing the power to make sure the jump is instantaneous is a feat in and of itself. And don't worry, BOVET 1822 has a patented system to reverse fit the hands, so the hours, minutes, and seconds turn clockwise on both sides.
And, in a brand-new titanium case with salmon lacquer dials, the Virtuoso V is an absolute pleasure to wear.
