It is when the brush meets the enamel to produce a dial that every julien Coudray 1518 watch comes to life. The path to this ultimate destination is a school of patience which requires exceptional skills and perseverance. Enamelling is not an exact science, and the vagaries in producing each individual piece are many. It is fire, or rather a temperature of nearly 800 °C, which will reward the enameller’s long hours of concentration and hope. The fusion of the enamel will give rise to the transparency, depth and shine of the colours. The enameller tirelessly reworks their creations until they obtain the desired result. This makes every piece unique.
In-house mechanical movement made from solid 18ct 2N yellow gold (manufacturing process protected by several patents), hand-wound, hand-engraved and hand-decorated, enamelled 18ct gold service indicator, power reserve of more than 55 hours, 34 jewels.
Movement set with 12 Top Wesselton extra white diamonds.
Case made from solid 18ct 2N yellow gold 39mm/9.85mm, sapphire crystal and case-back with anti-reflection coating, solid 18ct 2N yellow gold collar. Bezel set with 192 extra white Top wesselton diamonds, case and lugs set with 192 extra white Top wesselton diamonds, crown set with 15 extra white Top wesselton diamonds.

13-part dial made from enamelled solid 18ct 2N yellow gold, traditional « grand feu » black and white enamelled domed cartouches. 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock cartouches made from enamelled solid 18ct gold set with 16 diamonds.
Centre of the dial in enamelled 18ct gold with a traditional “grand feu” miniature featuring the coat of arms of the City of Geneva.

Grey and blue two-coloured hour and minute hands, blued second hand.
Hand-stitched brown alligator strap lined with alligator.
Solid 18ct 2N yellow gold buckle with engraved pictogram and set with 143 extra white Top Wesselton diamonds.

95 % of the watch is made from one kilogram of solid 18ct 2N yellow gold: movement, dial, case, crown and buckle.
