Description

The Twelve X (Ti) was created to celebrate two key anniversaries for Christopher Ward: twenty years since the company’s founding and ten years since introducing the in-house Calibre SH21.

The initial prototype of this skeletonised Twelve catalysed a spirited discussion between CEO and co-founder Mike France, senior designer Will Brackfield, and head of product development Jorg Bader Jnr. The watch showcased extensive skeletonization on the 5-day movement, providing an all-access view from both the front and back. Yet, the group pondered how to push the boundaries even further for the production model.

The result of this creative brainstorming is a watch that not only features advanced technical elements, never before seen at this price point, but also a level of finishing that begins a new era of manufacturing for the brand utilising high-end machine finishing.

Each component of the case, movement, bracelet, and clasp is meticulously finished to an incredibly high standard. Achieving this requires advanced diamond-cut, CNC machining, particularly for the platine and bridges, delivering a finish nearly indistinguishable from hand-finishing.

New technical elements include heavily domed box crystals at the front and rear, a combination of Super-LumiNova® on the hands and indices, a Globalight wedge at 12 o’clock and an all-new micro-adjustment system on the butterfly clasp.

The Twelve X (Ti) is a testament to Christopher Ward’s commitment to making haute-horology accessible. It combines exceptional design, high-end materials, and unparalleled craftsmanship at a price point that underscores the brand's value proposition. The watch’s polished, brushed, and sandblasted finishes, along with the use of grade 2 and 5 titanium, reflect a harmonious blend of industrial evolution and artistic inspiration.

Ultimately, The Twelve X (Ti) is not just a celebration of anniversaries but a showcase of Christopher Ward’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. It is a symbol of the brand's relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence.
