Description

Louis Vuitton launched its first double-aperture jumping hour watches in 2022. Today, the collection welcomes a new treasure: the Tambour Slim Vivienne Jumping Hours Sakura. Vivienne, the Maison’s mascot, is embarking on a new journey, this time visiting Japan to discover its cherry blossoms.

The time is displayed in two different apertures that alternate between showing either a blossom or the hour. The minutes are indicated by an almost invisible hand, tipped with a cherry blossom that seems to float around the dial.
To properly admire the LV 180 movement, Louis Vuitton equipped its watch model with a transparent sapphire crystal back that reveals the rose gold oscillating weight engraved with Monogram flowers.

Its white gold case, featuring diamond-studded lugs, allows the iridescent Monogram flowers to flourish on the surface of its pink mother-of-pearl dial. To create this pattern, Louis Vuitton artisans used the “Holomonogram” technique, which consists of sand-polishing pearl to achieve motifs that are both high-contrast and transparent. The dial’s subtle Monogram flowers are enhanced by the shine of white diamonds delicately inlaid around Vivienne’s face, as well as by the miniature cherry blossoms and branches painted by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton’s artisans.

Thanks to a bold design that echoes the playfulness of this calibre – specially designed for Vivienne – the Tambour Slim Vivienne Jumping Hours Sakura epitomises La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton’s dual expertise in the realms of artistic crafts and High Watchmaking.
