The Régulateur's New Look shines with handcrafted artistry
 
At Chronoswiss headquarters in Lucerne, there is a special department where traditional handicrafts such as guilloche and fire enameling are cultivated. It is here in this proprietary dial workshop that the ticking treasures of the Sirius Artist Collection are produced. This exclusive model line has been expanded continuously ever since the studio was founded by Chronoswiss CEO Oliver Ebstein in 2012.
 
The Sirius Artist Régulateur Jumping Hour model has also been refined with the addition of dials hand-decorated with guilloche à main and enamel. By far the most striking version is the one featuring a dial in brilliant royal blue. The center part of the original dial made of solid sterling silver is later reset into the previously guilloché and enameled dial - an extremely difficult process that demands a high level of artistry. The tolerance for resetting the middle piece is a mere 2/100 mm, so it really must be made to fit.
 
But all the effort really pays off - in the end, watches enhanced in this way set the stage for a fascinating interplay of light. The guilloche pattern under numerous layers of transparent enamel infuses the watch face with a surprising three-dimensional feel and depth that seems almost hypnotic.
 
A captivating watch face isn't the only thing that makes the Sirius Artist Jumping Hour special – the back side is equally capable of enchanting the beholder. The transparent sapphire crystal reveals the elaborately refined movement in which even the bridges have been beveled and decorated with guilloche designs by hand.
