Description

Frédéric Jouvenot is presenting a new model named Sîn, an extraordinary orbital display showing the day and night in a natural way.

In terms of its complexity and unorthodox time display, it needs shun no comparison with the company's other unusual creations. On the contrary: Jouvenot now lets the moon and sun celebrate the day on a futuristic dial that for the observer looks like a stunning trompe l'oeil.

The moon show the night and appears when the sun sets. The hour hand’s planet which seems to orbit around the minute star located in the center of the dial. For the best hour lisibility, we can observe the 24 hours disc where the sun and moon are fixed or we can read the hour number at the top. During the progression of the moon, the sunis hidden – behind the horizon, so to speak – in At miday or midnight we can oberve all the elements on the line 12-6 hours. We observe the sun at the top in the dial at miday.

Particularity in view of conception and interpretation for this complication, from the nature, the sun appears at east in the dial and its course ends at the opposite of the dial to the west. At the center of the movement we observe the minute planet with the central index.

The choreography of the elements reflects the perpetual spectacle that takes place in the firmament. To optimize the view of this mesmerizing extravaganza, Frédéric
Jouvenot developed a special sapphire-crystal glass for his creation shaped with the case.

Particularity of this special complication in three dimensions, any screws viewed on dial and the assembly than elements is very complex.

The very sophisticated watch decoration of the three-dimensional elements also contributes to this colorful dial.

The back of the watch reserved a surprise with a beautiful and massive constelation bridge takes the same blue color from the dial. Several elements in dark blue finish the design of the movement.

The titanium case accommodates a manually wound Swiss movement modified by Frédéric Jouvenot. It has a power reserve of 50 hours.

This creation is made with different small producers and independent watchmakers in Switzerland.
