Eza Watches are assembled in Pforzheim, Germany. This is the place where it all began for Eza. Pforzheim has a grand history in watch and jewellery making. Therefore it feels no less than the right to go back to the roots of Eza. The experienced watchmakers assemble every watch by hand and then do the quality check technically and visually. When a part is only a little less than perfect, they will not use it. This is one of the ways to assure that only the best quality watch products arrive at our clients.

The Sealander came from the desire to own a vintage diver, but not having the budget necessary these days to buy one. That’s why we designed one ourselves, taking design elements of original Eza Watches.

The watch stays true to all the functional elements of a diving watch. 1) An automatic movement. When you are diving, you don’t want your power reserve of the movement to run out. Especially because you can’t open the crown and wind your watch underwater. The automatic movement makes sure your watch keeps ticking during the entire dive. 2) A unidirectional bezel to measure the time. When diving, you don’t want to focus on remembering on which exact minute you start your dive for example. The bezel makes it possible to easily set the top mark on the minute hand. Then you can read the time which past on the 5-minute interval markers. The bezel only turns anti-clockwise. This makes sure that if you by accident turn the bezel during a dive, you only can make the time you measure shorter and not longer. When measuring your air supply, this can be very useful ;). 3) a dark colour dial (not white) with clear markers and hands. This makes it easier to read the time underwater. 4) Clear and simple shapes of the hour indexes. Instead of Roman (IV) or Arabic (4) hour indexes, we use simple rectangular shapes. This is easier to see in dark waters. 5) Indexes and hands filled with SuperLuminova. This material lights up in dark environments making it even easier to read the time.

The speical mix of CuAl9 bronze is harder then the more common bronze used in the industry and (in my view) creates a nicer slower patina on the case.
