Rive Blanche - Nymphéas
RIVE BLANCHE NYMPHÉAS:
WHEN WATCHMAKING MEETS IMPRESSIONISM
The Rive Blanche Nymphéas model pays tribute to the water lily, in an ode to this mysterious flower which symbolises perfection and purity. Champs Élysées has designed this unique piece with many features which evoke the aquatic world: a drop-shaped case, a dial set with diamonds and sapphires to create a wash of blue like the subtle caress of the waves on the surface of a pond, and three gem-set flowers adorning the watch case middle. Delicate, refined and sophisticated, the Rive Blanche Nymphéas is a masterpiece of the jeweller's art, inspired by the great masters of impressionism.
The Rive Blanche collection draws its inspiration from the Seine, which gave rise to its name, the drop shape of its case and the waves which ripple across its dial. By honouring the water lily, Champs Élysées confirms its attachment to the City of Light, paying tribute to Claude Monet who returned to this theme again and again in his Nymphéas series. To bring the Rive Blanche Nymphéas model to life, Champs Élysées called upon the expertise of master jewellers and talented gem-setters, able to recreate the beauty, elegance and perfection of the water lily. Delicately placed around the watch case middle, like a water lily on the surface of a pond, these flowers sparkle from their golden centre to the very tips of their precious petals. The dial is set with diamonds and sapphires, coming together to create a gentle wash of blue which brings to mind an impressionist canvas. Understated and elegant, this piece showcases the finesse of the master jeweller's art.
