This watch is ‘A Must' for race fans and motor sport professionals. VOGARD presents a third edition of its race-inspired sports model which has a revolutionary dial design that affords an extraordinary view into the “engine” of the watch.

The patented Timezoner® movement features a miniature high-tech clutch and a complex gear-train, which enables the wearer to re-set the watch in an instant, with no loss of accuracy - and now this remarkable mechanism can be seen in action thanks to the new openwork, rhombus-structure dial of the Radiator F1.

The bezel, meanwhile, is engraved with the names of the world's top race circuits together with 'GP' markings that indicate whether a Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place during standard time or Daylight Savings Time (summer time). The case is made from a fusion of steel and Titanium-Carbide (TiC) which makes it three times tougher than standard steel and lends the watch a sporty, satin black look that ensures the Radiator F1 will fit in at every race track from Monte Carlo to Shanghai.

Source of inspiration:

The Radiator F1 was inspired by the world of motor sport, and Formula One in particular. In making it, VOGARD has incorporated the same values and elements used in motor racing: high technology, inventiveness, cutting-edge materials, masterful control and, of course, superb performance. There are many similarities in the development of a car engine and that of a watch movement. Today, the radiator is a decisive element of a car's design and its characteristics have become vital to brand recognition - the same is true of a watch dial.

Case made of extra hard black steel with Titanium-Carbide (TiC)

The surface of the steel case is first cleaned with painstaking precision and is put in a high vacuum chamber. The chamber is heated and the process of  ‘ion bombarding' is carried out on the plain steel.  Stage three involves  ‘cathodic sputtering' where Titanium and carbide gas form a fusion of Titanium-Carbide (TiC) that coats the surface.

This process gives a sporty black look to the metal and increases the hardness of the surface by a factor of 3, from 400 vickers to 1200 vickers.

First watch to indicate daylight saving time (DST, summer time).

The red ‘GP' signs indicate that the Grand Prix race takes place during DST.

Dial and hands

The dial has a unique structure in the shape of rhombuses, a design never before used in the watch industry. It offers a view into the mechanics of the watch movement.

The extra large hour and minute hands are faceted and filled with Superluminova C1 for easy reading and extra strong luminescence at night. The 24h hand with the red pointer indicates day or night at the selected destination.

The Straps:

The new VOGARD Radiator F1 will be available with a black metal bracelet, with an alligator strap or with a rubber strap.

Metal bracelet:

The bracelet is made of extra hard black steel with Titanium-Carbide (TiC). Each element is finished and assembled by hand.

Alligator strap:

Revolutionary rubber strap:

VOGARD has developed a new strap to withstand the toughest sporty demands. A special and secret mixture of rubber gives the strap some unique qualities. On the one hand the strap is very elastic and comfortable to wear, and on the other hand it is extremely resistant to temperature, traction and ageing. Built in UV filters make sure that the strap is as well resistant to UV-rays.

Grooves on the inside of the strap prevent perspiration and make sure that the strap dries rapidly after showering or swimming. The strap has been sewn on the outside for a unique and stunning look.
