Quantum Ti
Sapphire crystal
Power reserve: 65 h, 28800 vph
Skeleton movement
This year we present the Waldhoff Quantum Ti tourbillon.
This new timepiece features a patent-pending case consisting of a Swiss sapphire and grade 5 titanium case, a construction that simplifies production and allows for a thinner case profile.
The 42mm chamfered sapphire case, with its flat side wall allows for a view into the mechanical intricacies of the tourbillon movement from all sides. The titanium case is polished on its sides and circular brushed on the top for a contemporary look.
The Quantum Ti’s manual winding Calibre 36K1 tourbillon movement is sourced from the Far East, dis-assembled and rebuilt for improved quality. It has 28,800 vph, 20 jewels and its twin-barrels – which are visible though the skeletonized deck – hold 65 hours of power in reserve.
We think tourbillons are some of the most spectacular complications and I designed this watch to be a timeless showcase for it, while allowing a larger number of people to afford and enjoy one.
The Quantum Ti is limited to 400 pieces.
