Pirro is renowned for the creation of exquisite jewellery, medals, coin reliefs, figurines, miniature sculptures and handmade filigree artworks, true to the spirit and tradition of Albanian culture. Bringing the extensive experience in the making of high-profile forms of art was at the center of the passionate pursuit to fulfill the brand mission: to create a timeless watch combing art and innovation. This endeavor was further reinforced by the motivation to produce the first high-end Albanian watch, completely made in-house. Both these challenges ignited a five-year drive and dedication to bring to life the “Primordial Passion”.
This masterpiece features twelve Albanian folk dancers, representing twelve regions, each unique and diverse in their respective regional embroidery, reflected in the micro figurines through hyper-realism, to mark the hours. Each has been finely designed and engraved to a micron range of 9-10mm height each, preserving the originality of a sculptural artwork.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with Agenhor, its central fix movement enabled the assembling of the composition by incorporating the four instrumentalists and the brands key elements, namely the eagle and the Pirro logo. Another notable characteristic is the bicolor hour hands in the shape of eagle claws, indicating the hours and minutes.
The dial consists of a diverse artistic micro-mosaic, in red-black gradient of Murano glass stones, consisting of 1500 stones in eight different colors and 64 cuts, the smallest measuring only 0.2mm. The gradient and brand texture are adjusting the shade to indicate the hours.
Thanks to the state-of-the-art Swiss technological advancements and investments, the creativity of the timepiece was preserved through the precise artistic execution of the watch case and back cover. The back cover reflects the illustrated scene with the folk dancers engraved in micro-relief.
Pirro’s Primordial Passion measures time with timeless beauty.
