Parsifal Chronographe Or Rose

PARSIFAL
20 years after its official launch, the iconic Parsifal collection has been born anew for BASELWORLD 2010! With its much-admired elegance and harmonious curves, Parsifal has a long-established identity all its own.
Now, while remaining true to its time-honoured values, Parsifal is reinventing itself, with precision, rounded outlines and aesthetic refinement lending the collection a distinctly contemporary feel.
The Parsifal collection takes its name from Wagner's final opera: a mystical world of chivalry and spiritual quest.
Parsifal once again shows RAYMOND WEIL's deep attachment to its roots, and desire to preserve tradition as a source of inspiration – while, at the same time, refining the key design elements (the 'godron décor' to the bezel, curved outlines, and sophisticated bracelet) which have forged the powerful identity of this symbolic collection.
The striking black dial, set off against a pink gold bezel, has Roman numerals underlining the timepiece's depth and elegance.
In line with the "Parsifal style" dating back 20 years, the new timepiece remains 41mm in diameter, complemented by a saddle-stitched, full-skin black alligator strap with double push-piece security.
Discreet, refined subdials for the hours, minutes and seconds are ingeniously spaced around the dial, with the date-window delicately positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock.
The mechanical movement, with automatic winding, has an ETA 2892/2 base with Dubois Dépraz 2010 chronograph module and 42-hour power-reserve. There is a push-piece at 2 o'clock to start and stop the chronograph; a second push-piece at 4 activates the back-to-zero function.
The innovative contrast between the elegant curves, and the imposing chronograph and chunky pink gold, underlines the originality of this stunning timepiece.
A subtle blend of style, tradition and refinement: that's the new RAYMOND WEIL Parsifal.
