Night Vision
Illuminating contrasts: by day, sunlight catches the gleaming surfaces of a classic Swiss watch, highlighting a brushed steel case and the luminescent hands and markers on a boldly graphic dial. At night, at the push of a button, its own built-in lights, discreetly hidden in the case, light up the dial, signal its presence with a pulse, or beam out into the surrounding darkness.
The Victorinox Swiss Army Night Vision, a perennial bestseller since its original launch in 2003, has now undergone its most significant design upgrade to date. The new edition is subtly designed along very classic Swiss lines, with a round, wide-open dial face and narrower bezel. Traditional codes are respected; there are no superfluous elements, no show-off gadgetry. The timepiece's pioneering lighting features are seamlessly incorporated into the sleek dial and bracelet design. The fluid crown protectors are echoed on the other side of the broad, 42mm case. The result is an increased dynamism to the design, and a purer aesthetic balance. Loaded with exclusive features, soberly masculine in proportion and feel, the Night Vision looks like what it is: a Swiss-made watch of the highest quality and refinement.
The new edition builds upon the original's exclusive design features — the integration in a watch of low consumption LED light modules for dial illumination, flashlight and strobe functions. The difference, however, is the new seductively streamlined appearance, which seamlessly incorporates advanced lighting features into the classic codes of a Swiss watch.
Three dial versions are available: charcoal grey dial with silver ring and steel bracelet; silver dial with dark grey ring and steel bracelet; and silver dial with dark grey ring and brown ‘aviator' leather strap with beige stitching and buckle. The metal bracelets are equipped with butterfly deployment buckles. Other features include: Swiss-made movement; stainless steel case with screwed-in back; shatter-resistant hardened sapphire crystal; easy-read date window at 6 o'clock; and water-resistance to 50 meters.
Urban and stylish, the new Night Vision remains, like its predecessors, a multi-functional instrument of extreme utility. The dynamic new upgrade sharpens the overall design, reaffirming Victorinox Swiss Army's position at the forefront of watchmaking aesthetics and innovation.
