The marina chain motif was inspired in the 1960s by the world of yachting, another favourite pastime of the Florentine clientele of Guccio Gucci.

The Marina Chain watch, introduced at the 2009 Spring Summer Gucci Women's Cruise fashion show, is available in two sizes and a rich choice of materials: steel, 18kt yellow gold, or a combination of the two for a striking contrast between the reflections of the two metals.
