Luvorene I
Power reserve: 240 h
In designing his « Fuseau de l'Infini », Vincent Bérard wished to retain the distinctive arched bulge of his « Quatre Saisons Carrosse » model, which had been inspired by contemplating the columns of Strasburg Cathedral.
LUVORENE I therefore features a round, domed case with the famous bulge from the Quatre Saisons model shifted to 3 o'clock, openworked on the dial side to reveal the oscillations of a balance with screws and a Breguet overcoil balance-spring, from which the escapement and the lever-wheel have mysteriously disappeared.
Due to its characteristic construction, inherent to the very shape of the watch, the mechanical hand-wound movement Caliber VB441, manufactured in-house, features a winding crown at 9 o'clock instead of 3 o'clock. The solid gold cover of the case back comprises two transparent sapphire crystals revealing an additional seconds hand serving as a movement running indicator, along with the 10-day power-reserve hand.
The six bridges arranged to form a stair-case are sunray-brushed guilloche-worked, smoothed down to a matt finish and bevelled by hand. These “steps” all rest on a black mainplate serving as a magnificently contrasting backdrop for all the movement components – all customised by the manufacture Vincent Bérard.
