LONGIO ZHUKE, inheriting the spirit of craftsman

"ZHUKE" is a utensil, a bronze tripod that comes from the state of Chu and weighs 400 kg, symbolizing power and wealth. It also refers as a group of people who have professional skills with free identity that shuttled between various vassal states. Just as Gongshiban (Luban) and Ouyezi, “Zhuke” is known for its thousand years of history. “Zhuke” is a kind of attitude, a kind of refinement, the pursuit of perfect craftsman spirit. As the name suggests, the bronze art “Zhuke” is a masterpiece valued by the time it has gone through; it stays on one’s wrist, with the wearer together recording the vicissitudes of history and mottled years.

Bronze is the first metal that mankind learned to use at the beginning of human history. LONGIO uses Bronze to make the ZHUKE wristwatch, to praise the great revival of the art of time.

A rotating bezel on the classic barrel-shaped watch case, ZHUKE uses the traditional handicraft of polishing, which has the authentic ancient bronze color and slightly rough hand feel texture, absolutely present in its original ecological way to the world. The helium valve device on ZHUKE can support within 500 m deep-sea exploration. The wide dial, the bottomless black hole and with the luminescent hands, leads people to explore in the extreme depths, looking for the secret of the time. 

As the time pass, bronze material corrodes by oxidation will show mottled color, but this will not influence the shape and the beauty of the case. On the contrary, it will show the mark of time erosion. Each ZHUKE wristwatch has entirely different time mark which is given by its owner and becomes the unique time witness to its owner.

Longio’s new wristwatch in year 2020 “Zhuke” added a control knob for rotating bezel at 2:00. When the knob is rotated counterclockwise, the rotating bezel is released and the rotationg bezel can be rotated and time can be adjusted; when the knob is rotated clockwise, the rotating bezel is locked and cannot be rotated. This control knob is very effective to avoid any unpurposive rotation mistake of the rotating bezel caused by external misoperation.
