Lake of Shimmer
World renowned Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka has created an exceptional watch for Swarovski.
Having already designed the Swarovski stand, christened “Lake of Shimmer”, at Baselworld in 2009, the designer was inspired by the impressive wall of the award-winning stand to create an elegant watch that distinctively represents Swarovski. In turn, the delicate bracelet of this watch of the same name is adorned with small octagon stainless steel links which reflect the light, in the same way that the wall of the stand does, with its 16,000 aluminum scales animated with 40 movements! The dial of the watch is made from one single piece of clear faceted crystal, protected by a completely flat sapphire glass, which is certain to attract attention. Only the hour and minute hands mark the passage of time as they move over the logo at 12 o'clock. “I wanted the passage of time marked by the luminance of crystal facet” explains Tokujin Yoshioka. A fine stainless steel bezel with perfectly rounded curves, encircles the dial and its discreet crown with a signed cabochon. On the back, the case is embossed with the Swanflower® motif and conceals an impeccable Swiss movement. Made entirely of stainless steel, this watch is water resistant to 30 meters.
