LADY COMPLIQUÉE PEACOCK
Fabergé is a brand whose history is steeped in the tradition of exquisite artistry, always pushing the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship.
The new Lady Compliquée Haute Horlogerie ladies’ collection upholds this tradition with a new and spectacular time display that, in the true spirit of Fabergé, both surprises and delights. The Lady Compliquée “Peacock” takes its inspiration directly from Peter Carl Fabergé’s Peacock egg of 1908. Hours are read at the winding crown at three o’clock utilising a mother of pearl band that rotates counter clockwise whilst the minutes are indicated by the fanning tail feathers off an exquisite carved peacock, sitting serenely in the bottom left corner of this horological marvel.
This ‘complication’ and movement was created exclusively for Fabergé by Agenhor, a Geneva based independent manufacturer that will be familiar to most horological enthusiasts. What makes this manually wound ‘retrograde’ special, amongst other things (there are two Patents Pending), is the fact that each of four peacock’s tail feathers is moving simultaneously but at different speeds; something very difficult to achieve and certainly complex.
The domed sapphire crystal gives this watch a very organic, pebble like, feel that is both very pleasing to the eye and to the touch. The top quality, highly finished movement is visible through the transparent sapphire case back.
The Lady Compliquée Peacock is produced in a 38mm platinum case, set with 54 brilliant cut diamonds in the bezel (1.83cts). The 18ct gold dial is set with 127 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.38cts), 31 Paraiba tourmalines (0.23cts) and 57 tsavorites (0.27cts).
