Brunswick Jump Hour ‘Edwardian Edition’

A Tribute to the Past, Crafted for the Present

The Brunswick Jump Hour ‘Edwardian Edition’ elevates the classic jumping hour indication—first introduced into the Fears collection in 2023—into a new realm of elegance with its Sterling Silver case and graceful lacquer dial. Created in a strictly limited run of just 10 pieces for British Watchmakers’ Day, this edition celebrates both heritage and modern British watchmaking.

Edwardian Influence

By the dawn of the Edwardian era (1901–1914), Fears had already celebrated its half-centenary, having been founded in 1846 by Edwin Fear. The ‘Edwardian Edition’s’ hand-polished white lacquer dial reinterprets the ornamental style of Fears watches from this era giving the watch the appearance of a piece lifted directly from the Fears archive.

The Sterling Touch

The ‘Edwardian Edition’ is housed in a hand-polished case crafted from solid 925 Sterling Silver—a material historically used by Fears in its earliest pocket and wristwatches. Honouring tradition, the case bears a London hallmark that includes the initials of the current Managing Director, NBS, continuing the practice of hallmarking with the Fears MDs initials, that dates back generations at Fears.

Reading Time, Reimagined

The watch’s distinctive time display—which combines a digital jumping hour with an analogue minute hand—is made possible by a special movement module. Developed by Christopher Ward, the JJ01 module is manufactured in Switzerland and mounted atop a Sellita SW200 base movement. Its clever engineering enables the hour window to ‘jump’ instantaneously, delivering a camera shutter-like click as the minute hand completes each full rotation.
