Grandeur Monocle Aureum
Meteorite
Tantalum
Power reserve: 40 h, 28800 vph
The Monocle introduces three distinct world-first achievements spanning its complication, case construction, and winding mechanism.
At its heart is a world-first complication: the patent-pending Jump Flap™ Hour Module. This proprietary, novel jump-hour display features an instantaneous jumping “flap” aperture that advances with the hour wheel by 30 degrees over sixty minutes, before instantly snapping back in tandem with a sweeping retrograde minute indication positioned below it.
The dial includes the hour ring and the background to the retrograde gear is crafted from meteorite, showcasing a unique Widmanstätten pattern that ensures no two watches are identical.
Powering this horological innovation is a meticulously re-engineered Hangzhou Calibre 5000A automatic base movement, featuring the world’s first stone micro-rotor, also precision-crafted from meteorite.
The 42mm x 10mm titanium case with exhibition sapphire back features an integrated meteorite ring, bored directly from a solid block of meteoric stone, representing another world-first. This architecture allows the Monocle to achieve remarkable mechanical density while maintaining an elegant, ultra-slim profile.
