Description

Since its debut in 1974, Credor has embodied sophisticated craftsmanship and refined elegance. Derived from the French crete d’or, or “crest of gold,” the Credor name has long stood for the highest echelon of watchmaking artistry. The Goldfeather U.T.D. (Ultra Thin Dress) series was born in 2023 in pursuit of the ultimate modern dress watch – one inspired by the lightness, grace, and elegance of a feather.

Encased in 18k yellow gold, this Goldfeather U.T.D. watch reveals the highest expression of beauty in its simplicity. The softly curved, champagne-colored dial features a delicate sunray finish that generates a warm glow, creating a beautiful contrast with the sharp brilliance of the diamond-cut bezel and Zaratsu-polished lugs. The minute track, composed of 48 markings engraved with a diamond tool, sparkles quietly on the dial’s edge. The thin box-shaped sapphire crystal produces soft reflections of light, imparting a sense of depth and softness. All surfaces in contact with the wrist, including the case back and the back of the lugs, are gently curved and hand-polished by skilled artisans to achieve a smooth and comfortable presence when worn.

This timepiece houses Caliber 6890, an ultra-thin mechanical movement measuring just 1.98 mm thick. The movement is mounted directly to the case, allowing for a significantly reduced profile. This, together with the movement’s thinness, demands exceptional skill at every stage of assembly, adjustment, and mounting by experienced master watchmakers. The adjustment of parts such as the hairspring and pallet fork, for example, requires a precision of one-hundredth of a millimeter in this watch for which attention to detail – both technical and aesthetic – is paramount.
