Fleurier 39 mm Single-button Doctor's Chronograph
BOVET's first chronograph in a Fleurier case returns to the style of the earliest wrist-chronographs of the late 1920s — a single-button control with the elapsed chronograph minutes and the running small seconds vertically aligned.
This type of chronograph, with a pulsometer scale, is known as a doctor's chronograph. The physician times 15 pulse-beats and reads off the pulse rate per minute on the scale.
The chronograph stop, start and zero are controlled by successive pressures on a cabochon-topped button, coaxial with the crown. The original chronograph system is in fact much easier to use than the two-button chronograph.
Unlike BOVET's Sportster chronographs, this watch has a slower-beating movement (21,600v/h) and is manually wound.
