Alpina Extreme Régulateur 1883: With this stunning new model, reference is made to “1883”, the founding year of what was to become Alpina - thus allowing for a direct reference to the brand's rich history and heritage. Alpina's genuine past is not immediately and clearly visible in our communication, and the “Régulateur” is a good platform to divulge the genuine past of Alpina once again. The Avalanche Extreme Régulateur Double Digit “FULL BLACK” is a powerful wristwatch: large, different, tough and uncompromisingly bold in design and character.
The matte-black PVD coating is both aesthetic and functional: PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) increases the scratch resistance and sturdiness of the stainless steel case. The movement's bridges are decorated and the blued steel screws and black winding and ratchet wheels (like the rotors of all Automatic Alpina watches), give the movement -visible through a large sapphire crystal case back - lots of strength and character. The eccentric hour subdial is at 10 o'clock, not at 12, -an Alpina exclusive-, which makes for a very legible and uncluttered dial design. The arabical numerals are enlarge applied brushed steel indexes to fit with the extrem outline of the watches.
