EXCALIBUR
Chronograph with visible micro-rotor
The new subtly remodelled Excalibur collection of ROGER DUBUIS reaffirms the brand's mastery of contemporary design. The bezel's deeper fluting enhances its dynamic dimension, while preserving Excalibur's strong personality and the refined crown-guard gives the case a more streamlined appearance. The ingenious effect of a double flange around the dial provides new depth and beautifully highlights these two redesigned features of the collection.
One of the collection's showpieces, the double-pusher column-wheel chronograph – naturally manufactured in-house and stamped with the Poinçon de Genève – has made a strong comeback with dials that underscore its strong character.
The dial here is crafted in white gold and, through the openwork at 1 o'clock, reveals the micro-rotor which is decorated on both sides with a Côtes de Genève pattern. Large rhodium-plated Roman numerals stand out against the charcoal grey background on the lower part of the dial, while rhodium-plated applique hourmarkers feature on the lighter upper part of the dial. The counters have Arabic numerals. The double flange cleverly adds depth to the dial by combining charcoal grey and rhodium tones.
Completed with a hand-stitched alligator strap with adjustable white gold folding buckle, this model is limited to 88 pieces.
