Escale Spin Time

Drawing on the origins of Louis Vuitton's layetier-packager, the Escale Spin Time is thought of as a miniature trunk and is part of the House's DNA and the art of travel. Anchored in the spirit of the times, it adopts a new bi-material combination and combines the modernity of steel with the depth of black PVD. The contrast is unprecedented, at once elegant, sophisticated and architectural.

At the heart of this timepiece is an exceptional mechanism: the automatic caliber LV 77.

Patented and produced by the master watchmakers of the Louis Vuitton Time Factory, the Spin Time caliber, presented for the first time in 2009, evokes by its name the rotating movements of the cubes that display the hours. The reading is resolutely modern. Instead of a hand, twelve cubes positioned around the circumference of the dial and pivoting on themselves indicate the passage of time. Thus, while eleven cubes display the famous motifs inspired by the personalization of Louis Vuitton trunks, the last stands out by displaying the time on a numbered side.
