Harry Winston Diane
Harry Winston has long been about innovation = innovation in design and innovation in technology. Launched at Baselworld 2008, Diane takes inspiration from Diana, the iconic Roman Goddess renowned for her strength, athletic grace, distinct beauty, and huntress skills.
Such inspiration founded the idea of creating an ultimate feminine timepiece that embodied these unique qualities.
The technical components of this daring creation are undoubtedly as important as its design. Taking over 18 hours to bring to life the case, this one is carved from a single block of gold. The lugs curve up like roots to clutch the case, a flower that never fades away.
The three dimensional aspect gives the depth necessary to reveal the unique movement = a minute repeater to be used by the bezel itself, with a swiveling motion to activate the complication. On the face, covered with several layers of enamel, are five automatons, like miniature jeweled forest mushrooms that are linked to the repeater function.
The final touch to this creation are the precious rubies and diamonds that dazzle and add to the magic of this perfect mechanism.
Innovative – Daring - Sculptured = Diane by Harry Winston
