Möels & Co.
Founded in 2019, Möels & Co. is an independent watch company with a strong artistic background, dedicated to bringing fresh designs to market. As a young brand, Möels & Co. does not rely on a long history or rich heritage; instead, it focuses on the journey of exploration and discovery by forging its own path forward, embracing creativity, desirability, and accessibility.
Design
Möels & Co.'s design philosophy is centered on minimalism. While designing the 369, the focus was on achieving the same design language as in the debut model, the 528. Every element was designed to integrate seamlessly, showcasing only what is necessary. Like the 528, the 369 became its natural counterpart, embodying the same spirit of simplicity and differentiation.
Case
The 369 case diverges from traditional shapes—it's neither round, cushion, square, nor tonneau. It's a barrel shaped case topped with a cushion-shaped bezel, creating a distinctive style. Crafted from surgical grade steel, the case is predominantly satin-brushed with subtle polished beveled edges. It measures 46.50mm lug to lug and 12.25mm thick, including the double-domed sapphire crystal.
Screw-down Crown
Similar to the 528 model, Möels & Co. has incorporated a screw-down crown into the 369 to enhance the watch's water resistance up to 200m / 660ft and safeguard the movement. Perfectly complementing the case shape, its conical, serrated design ensures easy grip and operation, reflecting the brand's commitment to both form and function.
Caseback
The screw-in caseback of the 369 isn't entirely solid or transparent; it's a blend of both. There's a crystal, but it's not a typical exhibition caseback as a perforated steel plate hides the movement, revealing only a glimpse of the gold-plated rotor. The '369' printed on the inner side of the flat sapphire crystal pays homage to Nikola Tesla's fascination with the numbers 3, 6, and 9, which he believed held cosmic significance.
Bracelet
The 369 bracelet was designed with adjustability, durability, and style in mind. It measures 3.40mm thick, tapering from 22mm to 18mm, and is crafted with solid links and half links secured by screws. The bracelet features a satin brushed finish throughout and polished beveled edges to match the case finishing. The clasp is compact and equipped with a convenient tool-less mechanism for on-the-fly micro-adjustments. Beyond its exceptional functionality, its sleek and modern design also makes it highly attractive.
Dial
The 369 dial is minimally designed, lacking numerals or any other decorations. The twelve markers, arranged in perfect symmetry, draw inspiration from vortex patterns found in the universe. The Stellar Collection offers both dressy and sporty variants with rhodium and gold-plated hands and indices, as well as luminous dials featuring Lumeblocks crafted entirely from a luminescent pigment.
Awards
In 2022, Möels 528 received widespread recognition and critical acclaim, earning Betina Menescal three international design awards: The A' Design Award, The International Design Awards (IDA), and The European Product Design Award.
These achievements represent a major milestone, and serve as independent validation that fills both the brand and its customers with pride.
