Description

Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, and Sincere Fine Watches have joined forces to produce a limited-edition series of watches in celebration of Sincere Fine Watches’ Platinum Jubilee. Featuring 10 unique iterations of the GPHG award-winning Fabergé Compliquée Watch, the Fabergé x Sincere Fine Watches collaboration features 10 watches each possessing a bespoke dial, making every watch entirely unique.

These collectors’ pieces have been created in celebration of Sincere Fine Watch’s 70th anniversary 2024 and encapsulate the beauty of flora and fauna found in the gardens of Singapore and Malaysia, where Sincere Fine Watches was founded.

Sincere Watch Limited is Singapore’s oldest name in luxury watch retail. Beginning from a humble venture in 1954, it has since blossomed spectacularly into a leading retailer and distributor of the world’s top watch brands in Asia.

Following on from the great success at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2015, in which the Fabergé Compliquée Peacock won the High-Mechanical award, Fabergé has now introduced this new variation on the theme, exclusively for Sincere Fine Watches, made in partnership with Agenhor and a team of specialist craftspeople who are able to perform the masterful and painstaking technique of miniaturist artistic painting on watch dials.

These watches take their inspiration from the butterfly – a symbol of transformation, endurance and hope and a powerful beacon of everlasting growth and new beginnings. This design incorporates the national flower of Singapore – the orchid. The orchid is considered a symbol of beauty and resilience.

Wearable art for the wrist, each orchid flower has been micro-painted and engraved onto a mother-of-pearl dial. Set in a 18k rose gold case, these dials pop with colour through the hand-set tsavorites and diamonds, and a blue alligator strap. Included with every purchase is also a black satin strap, making this a highly versatile piece.

This collection features a unique movement developed exclusively for Fabergé by Agenhor. Hours are read at the winding crown at three o’clock, as a numbered mother-of-pearl ring rotates counter-clockwise. The minutes are read by the position of the butterfly’s wings as they unfurl each hour, only returning to zero when the lead wing reaches 60. These mobile works of art display an evolving scene, as time unwinds on the wearer’s wrist. In this manually wound movement, pivoting butterfly ‘blades’ fan out simultaneously indicating the minutes. Each of these blades is moving independently, but at a different speed to the others. As the cycle is repeated each hour, time takes on a new role, going beyond merely charting the passing of the minutes to creating scenes of ephemeral beauty.

These limited-edition watches perpetuate the ingenious and free-thinking spirit of Peter Carl Fabergé himself, who imagined and made many of his creations to be both emotive and fascinating.
