Cedric Johner Abyss Chronograph
Power reserve: 43 h, 18000 vph
30 years of exploration in the world of watchmaking craftsmanship and Cédric Johner still has this spark that drives him to integrate invention and innovation into his art. He is the guardian working the material in a traditional way. His modesty almost makes us forget that he is one of the last master watchmakers to follow this artisanal protocol.
For the first time since the creation of Abyss, its iconic shaped model, he offers a chronograph version with a steel case.
The dimensions, 39mm wide and 11.80mm thick, are accompanied by two double-spring shaped pushers to meet the perfection in details and stability. The mythical caliber 23 is entirely decorated by hand.
This column-wheel chronograph offers an innovation never seen before with a small seed type decoration entirely made by hand and sublimated through a sapphire caseback. Its architecture is shaped with reliefs playing with depths. Manual winding is a tribute to those for whom wearing a watch is a vocation. The power reserve is 43 hours.
The satin-brushed and deep blue titanium dial fits its two counters in relief, offering a unique and identifying personality. Embellished by curved Roman numerals, it anchors the Cédric Johner identity.
The polished steel leaf hands are shaped by hand and present an unprecedented elegance, in total harmony with the case.
In his quest for perfection, the watchmaker has created a design in which the strap fits the case impeccably and is accompanied by a pin buckle. The latter is in perfect consistency with the case. The handmade strap is in hand-sewn alligator leather.
