Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 Chronograph 45mm Titanium

Created, designed, hand-crafted and assembled in TAG Heuer’s workshops in la Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, TAG Heuer presents its emblematic manufacture movement in a titanium version of the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph. With a skeletonized design, a modular case, an ultra-light material, the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 fits perfectly the « avant-garde » spirit of TAG Heuer.

Born in 1963 from the imagination of Jack Heuer, the Carrera collection was inspired by the legendary “Carrera Panamericana Mexico road race.” In 2015, Carrera introduced its manufacture chronograph movement: the calibre Heuer 01 chronograph. In 2016, the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph comes back with a new case, made of titanium with alternate finishings, and  a high-end calfskin  strap. TAG Heuer Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph presents a supremely clean design revealing all the technical details of this movement. On the dial side the openworked date disc is visible. On the case-back, its red column wheel, the skeleton chronograph bridge and the back weight also draw the eye into the mechanism. The case is no longer the single piece traditionally used by TAG Heuer, but modular with 12 different components increasing the future creative possibilities on this collection.

The movement is the TAG Heuer calibre Heuer 01  which is an in-house manufacture automatic chronograph with date. The dial is grey, skeletonized, with 3 counters. The indexes are rhodium-plated with white luminescent markers. With a 45 mm diameter, the case is modular and made of alternate finishings of sand-blasted and fine brushed titanium Grade 2. Equipped with a scratch-resistant curved sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment the chronograph has a water resistance of 100 meters. Finally it is adorned with a rubber and “natural touch” calfskin strap, and a titanium folding clasp with safety push buttons.
With its high-tech materials, its ultra-light weight, the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph Titanium is a symbol of the «avant-garde» TAG Heuer spirit, always looking into the future and exploring possibilities.
