This year, Christopher Ward launched the all new Trident 3 collection. Redesigned and upgraded, the collection celebrates the 10th anniversary of the launch of the brand’s iconic Trident dive watch series. By their nature, Tridents are engineered to withstand conditions few of us will ever encounter. But if there’s one timepiece that pushes the boundaries of the Trident collection further than ever before, it’s the C60 Trident Elite 1000.

Launched with a 300-piece limited edition run in blue with orange, the C60 Trident Elite 1000’s case design has been crafted from brushed Grade 2 titanium and features a helium release valve. Famed for its anti-corrosive qualities and possessing the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element, it’s the perfect fit for a dive watch – combined with a sapphire crystal 3.8mm thick, the Elite 1000’s tough but slender weight remains water-resistant down to an impressive depth of 1000m.

A number of upgrades have been introduced as part of the new Trident 3 collection and these are realised in the Elite 1000. The application of Grade X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova® fulfils a long-standing customer request for a fully lumed bezel, which also sports an orange 15-minute track and lume triangle. A glossy blue dial, combined with Super-LumiNova®-filled hands and brushed and polished indexes, offers exceptional clarity in all lighting conditions; the signature trident-shaped counter-balance also makes a welcome return.

The C60 Trident Elite 1000 Limited Edition is powered by self-winding mechanical chronometer-certified Calibre Sellita SW200 movement, complete with 38-hour power reserve. With an anti-shock system and 4Hz frequency working together to deliver a smooth eight ticks a second throughout all manner of activities, this chronometer-certified version of SW200 supplies world-class levels of timekeeping.

With the addition of a screw-down deep-stamped 3D backplate, Christopher Ward has ensured the C60 Trident Elite 1000 is a dive watch as aesthetically stunning as it is technically brilliant.
