BR-X1 TOURBILLON CHRONOGRAPH

LIMITED EDITION OF 20 PIECES

The BR-X1 has evolved. It is now available in an Haute Horlogerie version: the BR-X1 Tourbillon Chronograph  model. This precious measuring instrument combines the brand's exceptionally powerful aesthetic with the technical refinement of finest Haute Horlogerie by Bell & Ross.

A unique case which combines design and sophistication:

The BR-X1 Tourbillon Chronograph  stands out by virtue of its sophistication and the finishes on its case, which is made entirely from grade 5 titanium:

-    A single material, multiple components: the case is composed of many parts, all made from titanium, fixed by the four visible screws on the four corners of the upper bezel. The protective band (or shield) is also made from titanium, making it extremely resilient.

-    At 9 o'clock, a rubber "thumb-rest" insert ensures optimal grip when activating the chronograph functions.

-    The original design of the rocker push-piece optimizes grip and durability when using the chronograph.

An exceptional movement:

The top of the range model in the BR-X1 range requires an exceptional Haute Horlogerie movement, so Bell & Ross has developed a hand-wound Skeleton Chronograph Tourbillon with mono-pusher and column wheel.

This Haute Horlogerie grand complication movement is a feat of ingenuity consisting of 282 components and 35 jewels, and beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The Chronograph Mono-pusher measurement is shown on two counters: 30 minutes and 60 seconds.

The function is engaged by the mono-pusher rocker – positioned at 2 o'clock – which actuates the Start, Stop and Reset functions.

A 100-hour (4-day) power reserve indicator is situated at 9 o'clock.

A rare horological feature, the minute counter of the chronograph features a semi instantaneous jumping hand, rather than the traditional sweeping hand.

The seconds counter of the chronograph is a six impulse per second sweeping hand.

The column wheel, the sophisticated centerpiece of this top of the range movement, offers more flexibility when handling the chronograph functions.

The tourbillon, clearly visible in its cage positioned at six o'clock, serves as the ultimate guarantee of precision.

The special feature of this "flying" tourbillon cage is that it is fitted without an upper bridge, thereby giving the impression that it is floating, or "flying", thus defying the laws of mechanics.

Like a discreet signature, the ampersand (the iconic "&" of the brand) on the tourbillon cage sets the beat for the seconds.

The chronograph reset function, using the same push-piece, stops the mechanism, thanks to the rotary movement of the clutch wheel engaging with the Tourbillon system.
