Arceau Hermès story
Power reserve: 50 h, 28800 vph
Since 1978, Arceau has asserted itself with its understated yet singular aesthetic. Arceau Hermès story unveils a new watch that is connected to life, playfulness and imagination, while showcasing exceptional skills!
Issued in a numbered limited edition of 12, it gives pride of place to a tiger crafted in wood marquetry. The feline with turquoise eyes combines plum, tulipwood, ash-olive, maple and sycamore through 290 pieces of wood patiently cut, stained and assembled one by one. The tiger alone requires five days of work to reproduce all its nuances and subtleties.
It takes no less to bring the surrounding bestiary to life: butterflies, hummingbirds, turtles and peacocks give the dial a new sense of depth with their hand-engraved and painted gold appliques. Alongside them, rabbits and praying mantises are miniature painted in various layers that also create subtle depth achieved through five days of artisanal devotion.
This playful yet technical composition will be framed by a 38 mm rose gold case, topped by a bezel set with 82 diamonds and fitted with a chantilly alligator strap crafted using classic Hermès skills.
