My name is Luděk Seryn and I would like to introduce you to Adam Rotation watches, I have been designing and manufacturing watches for many years. My goal is to push the boundaries in watchmaking where most people don't see them.

The watches are based on a previous project which was the Karel Rotation, the projects names are named after their watch owners and it is part of the thank you.

The rotating machine, is the first complication. This is part of the original idea of dividing the movement into its individual units: the movement, the hand control and the winding. Whereby the rotary base carries two machines with an intermediate differential, rotating at intervals of eight hours.

The hand control is based on the Karel Rotation. The principle of control remains the same, i.e. by means of a key which has its lock in the case between numbers one and two. The watch is set in leaps and bounds. Turning the key in the first position to the right sets the minutes forward, in the second position backwards. Moving the key to the left then sets the clock. As part of the development process, slight modifications were made to the lever mechanism to make this unique approach to hand control work more precisely.

Cycloidal gearbox, by the nature of the design of the rotary machine, no crown winding is possible. Despite the absence of a back bridge, the watch has an automatic winding thanks to a peripheral rotor of our design. The peripheral rotor works in conjunction with the cycloidal gearbox. This is the first time that such a reducer has been used in a watch and it is a registered solution. The cycloidal gearbox, which has its main use in robotics, can reduce the movement of the rotor with an inherent simplicity, and looks good at the same time.

The Adam Rotation watch took two and a half years to develop and contains 288 components, its case is 18ct gold. The price of the watch is €266,000
