The Peacock 1950 wristwatch traces its origin to Chinese military watches from the 1950s and 1960s, embodying 67 years of profound craftsmanship in Chinese chronographs. It pays tribute to the tenacious spirit of soldiers with precise craftsmanship, integrating the profound sense of history and modern watchmaking aesthetics on the wrist.
The original Arabic numeral hour markers are meticulously carved using the chiseling technique, one of the eight traditional Chinese craftsmanships, incorporating the unique brushstrokes of ancient calligraphy with pauses and tip lifting.
The "rail-style minute scale ring" on the outer dial replicates the traditional design of the pocket watch era, accurately outlining the trajectory of time; the outer "cannonball ranging ring" design combines practical functions with nostalgic feelings.
The latitude and longitude coordinates of the Yalu River Broken Bridge are engraved on the case back, and each engraving is a precious memory worth commemorating.
In terms of movement appearance design, rose gold, silver, and gold are interwoven, perfectly replicating the luxurious style of the last century. The self-produced PAX8610 movement of Peacock inherits its core structure from the classic Venus175, adopting a horizontal clutch and column wheel structure to precisely control the start, stop, and reset actions of timing. The movement parts are fully hand-polished by experienced watchmakers, and the meshing angle of each gear and the engraving depth of each pattern are repeatedly deliberated.
The 316L stainless steel case is processed by dual techniques of brushing and polishing. The "narrow eyeliner" thin edge design cleverly broadens the visual effect, making the 38.5mm dial appear more majestic and open; the slightly convex fine sapphire mirror has a light transmittance of up to 93%. With a slim thickness of 12.85mm, it closely fits the wrist curve, and the "bugle"-shaped lugs feature tough and neat lines.
The strap adopts a plant-based coating-free dyeing process to retain the natural texture of the material to the greatest extent. Each strap is carefully hand-stitched, with fine and uniform stitches, which are beautiful and durable, and also represent the ultimate pursuit of quality.
