Description

Among the outstanding timepieces in the Pirata collection of Cuervo y Sobrinos, the new spectacular model “Horas del Mundo” (World Times) truly stands out.  This watch is dedicated to the great travellers of the 21st century.

This innovative watch allows you to simultaneously read all the world time zones on a 24 hour scale.

The unique dial is divided into two circles. The outer circle shows the names of 24 reference cities with La Habana, the home of Cuervo y Sobrinos, highlighted and engraved in a lighter shade. The inner circle indicates the 24 hours of a day. Numerous highly complex techniques were necessary to create this dial with impact.

Among them the engraving of the city names in relief with 3D effect, rhodium and galvanic treatments, colouring and decoration. The manual labour of the artisanal experts was essential to achieve this dial, which is superb from an aesthetic standpoint. Developed by Cuervo y Sobrinos as a natural evolution of GMT, the Horas del Mundo represents a key model in the brand's collection at both aesthetic and technical levels. The dial graphic is innovative yet true to the characteristics of the brand, thanks to the warm tropical colours combined with the romantic and vintage style of the Pirata line. With this collection, Cuervo y Sobrinos recalls and celebrates its Cuban roots, inspired by the luxury and adventurous spirit of the buccaneer. The Torpedo Horas del Mundo presents the characteristic Pirata collection modular case, comprising interchangeable rings allowing you to alternate the different metals. This model is available in two versions, bronze or 18kt rose gold, joined to titanium and burnished steel. The three materials in this configuration give life to the profile of a 17th century cannon and the crown is shaped like terrestrial globe. The complex mechanism is visible via the non-reflective sapphire glass case back decorated by the CyS coat of arms with two crossed swords, a wink to the “pirate” inspiration of the collection.

The black rubber strap with bronze stitching is light grey on the underside and decorated with the brand's coat of arms. The embossed buckle is titanium.

The rose gold, titanium and burnished steel version is available in this series and limited to 24 pieces: One for each time zone!
