Spiral-Verso VIP
WORLD PREMIERE
|
Dubey & Schaldenbrand presents a world premiere - the "Spiral-Verso VIP" chronograph moving in 3 dimensions.
Today it is possible to wear on your wrist this chronograph which changes face according to your desires or to place it on your desktop for all to view, as well.
An exclusive invisible mechanism in the steel watch-case allows the watch to make 3-dimensional movements. By pressing the 2 buttons at 12 o'clock, the watch is freed to take up the desired positions on its 3 axes.
Never before has such a feat been achieved! Many years of research went into perfecting this piece and you will not be able to stop yourself from pressing the release buttons and rotating the case to view the movement as it sits on your wrist.
And what could be more beautiful than the movement within the heart of this precision instrument as it oscillates more then 650,000 times a day (8 times faster than the human heart)?
Thanks to the hand engraving on the various bridges by our expert craftsmen, each watch is unique. Never do the craftsman's fingers reproduce exactly the same arabesques. The coat of arms of Les Ponts-de-Martel is represented by a bridge ("les ponts") and the watchmaker's hammer, engraved on each movement. This historical detail reminds us that more than 150 years ago in this village a host of watchmakers were busy with timekeeping.
It is only fitting that a mechanical case complication such as this should come from this picturesque village in the Jura Mountains. As far back as 1848, Les Ponts-de-Martel was involved in the manufacturing of timepieces with two companies manufacturing lever-assortments for the emerging Swiss watchmaking industry. In 1902, there was one factory alone that supplied more than 500,000 balances. Various tourbillon carriages of old were prepared in this village and what about Major Benoît's miniature paintings on enamel dials?
This high precision chronograph is shock-absorbent, tells the time, indicates the 24 hours, minutes and hours, the day and date, the month plus the phases of the moon.
In the center, the chronograph hand is fitted with an original "royal blue" spiral from 1946, the year of the establishment of Dubey & Schaldenbrand. This "vintage" spiral turns on its axis fixed by a collet. It enhances this timepiece which will faithfully mark all the hours of your life.
This innovation will enter into the annals of the Swiss watchmaking industry.
The watch is waterproof to 30 meters. It is fitted with a unique strap of Royal Galuchat and supplied in a deluxe presentation case of inlaid precious wood.
