Iconoclastic? It does not deny the fact. Contemporary? Definitely. Feminine? To the tips of its hands! The first expression of the BLANCPAIN WOMEN Collection reveals its resolutely avant-garde with great natural panache. There is a bold edginess to the original combination of guilloché dial, diamonds and rubber straps. Blancpain immediately sensed the connection between the exotic nature of this watch and the wild elusiveness of the lotus flower. The daring exuberance of the heteroclite dial is accented by exploding Arabic numerals, complemented by a sunburst guilloché motif. Two rows of finely set diamonds enliven the classic double stepped form of the bezel. Housed within a steel case measuring 34 mm in diameter, self-winding Calibre 1150 with its 100-hour power reserve gives life to this resolutely contemporary model. Like the lotus flower, a timeless symbol of purity and perfection, this remarkable mechanical self-winding movement indicates the hours, the minutes, centre seconds and the date at 6 o'clock. Three combinations are initially offered: black dial with black rubber strap; white dial with matching white rubber strap; and a version with ruby-set bezel and black dial adorned with a flower motif also embossed on the rubber strap. The straps for the black and white versions are both embossed with the Blancpain logo. The distinctive character of these watches earns them a place of their own within the feminine watchmaking world, admirably demonstrating that a strong personality and character make a perfect match with prestige and femininity.

L'exquise effronterie du lotus

Iconoclaste? Elle ne le renie pas. Contemporaine? Assurément. Féminine? Jusqu'au bout des aiguilles! La première expression de la collection BLANCPAIN WOMEN révèle son esprit avant-gardiste avec panache. Il aura fallu une insolente audace pour oser la combinaison mâtinée d'un cadran guilloché, de diamants et d'un bracelet en caoutchouc. Le lien entre l'exotisme de cette montre et la fleur de lotus, sauvage et insaisissable, est apparu comme une évidence à l'esprit de Blancpain. L'exubérance de ce cadran hétéroclite est soulignée par des indexes arabes éclatés, tandis que le motif guilloché soleil complète cet ensemble audacieux. Deux rangs de diamants finement sertis viennent embraser la traditionnelle «double pomme» de la lunette. Abrité dans un boîtier en acier de 34mm de diamètre, le calibre 1150 doué d'une réserve de marche de 100 heures, rythme cette pièce résolument contemporaine. A l'image de la fleur de lotus, symbole de pureté et de perfection, ce remarquable mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique propose les indications heures, minutes, seconde centrale et date à 6h. Trois combinaisons initiales sont offertes: cadran noir et bracelet caoutchouc noir, cadran blanc et bracelet caoutchouc assorti et enfin, une version avec lunette sertie de rubis et cadran noir orné d'un motif floral, reproduit en relief sur le bracelet caoutchouc. Les bracelets des versions noire et blanche sont tous deux estampés du logo Blancpain en relief. Le caractère affirmé de ce garde-temps lui réserve une place à part dans l'univers horloger féminin, démontrant que tempérament et caractère se conjuguent admirablement avec prestige et féminité.
