To participate in the 2022 GPHG, watch brands are invited to submit their set of entries, from mid-May and by June 24, 2022 at the very latest via the dedicated digital platform.
- The GPHG Academy proposes timepieces for the competition. Timepieces put forward by the Academy are submitted to the brands concerned via the dedicated digital platform (between May 9 and 13). The brands decide whether or not to confirm the entries of the proposed models and may enter other timepieces for the competition (see the Academy Regulations).
- All brands can also enter the competition spontaneously via the dedicated digital platform. Those wishing to do so should send an email to organisation@gphg.orgin order to obtain a platform access code.
Only timepieces commercialised after May 2021 and at the latest by the end of October 2022 are eligible to take part.
Entry fees amount to CHF 700 per candidate watch. These costs will be invoiced upon receipt of the set of entries and must be settled within 30 days.
The 2022 categories and prizes are listed in the competition Rules, available on this site under “2022 EDITION”.
In case of nomination, a single flat-rate fee is payable for each nominated watch. This amounts to CHF 6,000 per watch and relates to the organisation of the competition and the exhibitions, as well as to the communication and marketing services devoted to the nominated timepieces. For timepieces competing in the Mechanical Clock category, the cost is CHF 5,000 per timepiece.
The watches nominated by the Jury must be available for these exhibitions between 16 September 2022 and 25 November 2022 (until 8 December 2022 for award-winners).
Timepieces competing in the Mechanical Clock category are presented as part of the Geneva exhibition, if the exhibition site allows it; they must be available for this exhibition between 27 October and 25 November 2022 and must be delivered directly to the exhibition site by the brands concerned. Brands may also exhibit timepieces competing in the Mechanical Clock category in other GPHG exhibitions, if the sites allow it; If brands wish to exhibit these timepieces in the context of the other GPHG exhibitions, they are responsible for shipping to and from the exhibition locations, as well as shipping and insurance costs.
